Wainfleet is a small market town in the County of Lincolnshire, England.Once a port, the town now lies more than one mile from the sea on the coastal strip of land between the North Sea and the hilly areas of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The town is divided by the River Steeping into two areas, namely Wainfleet All Saints to the north and Wainfleet St Marys to the south. The main route into the town is by the A52, a major road that provides access to the large cities and towns of the Midlands.Rail access is also available using the main East Coast Line.Although close to the busy holiday resort of Skegness (5 miles away), Wainfleet has retain its village like appearance and feel that other villages to the north of Skegness have lost to the on going commercialization and tourism developments.
