Our Playgroup
Busy Bees Playgroup has been part of Wainfleet for over 30 years,first established in 1967. We offer a wide range of equipment, Activities and experiences for children two and a half upwards. Playgroup is set within the Magdalen Primary school which is the perfect way to introduce children to the school environment. Our Room is bright and cheerful, very inviting to children and parents.Staff are friendly and helpful and will do their utmost to see your child receives a happy and safe start to school life.

Our Aim
We aim to provide children with a healthy, hygienic safe evironment in which they can learn and play.We aim to provide the children with a broader knowledge of society and the world.we also aim to work towards the Early Learning Goals set by the Department of Education and Employment.
THE EARLY LEARNING GOALS
The early learning goals cover 6 important areas of the chilren's learning,these goals form the curriculum for the Foundation stage for children aged from 3 to 5. Children start their foundation stage at Playgroup then they continue onto the Reception year before progressing onto the National Curriculum at school.The 6 aims are set for us by the DfEE (Department for education and Employment) and how we meet them are as follows.
PERSONAL,SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
* Dressing up and role play
* Games and Physical play.
* Stories, pictures and Jigsaws
* Music, instruments and songs.
* Sitting together to enjoy their snacks and meals
* Outings (Ducks, Library, Nature walks)
* Visits by adults from different aspects of Society and Cultures
* Baking and Birthday cakes
MATHHEMATICAL DEVELOPMENT
* Constuction toys ( Duplo, Lego etc)
* Sand and Water
* Baking
* Playdough, Painting and Glueing
* Counting songs
* Sorting and threading
* Counting games.
We try to incorporate maths and problem solving in to most things that we do.
COMMUNICATION, LANGUAGE AND LITERACY SKILLS
* Games and Puzzles

* Labelling things (with childrens names)

* Imaginative play (duplo, dolls house etc)
